Carol Menninga I believe I've always been an artist at heart, although I had worked at so many different occupations (restaurant manager, environmental engineer, medical student) before I found my muse. These papercuttings came about quite serendipitously. I would never have imagined a career as a papercutter, and yet how wonderful to be working at something so much fun and so fulfilling.

Carol has been creating her paper cutouts since 1994, exhibits at some of the most prestigious art shows in the country, and receives numerous awards for her work. She and her husband, ceramist and teacher, Robert Sunday, live in an 1840s stone house in northern Illinois.
