Inspired by nature, original designs start with a drawing on paper; folding reflects the symmetry and balance found in nature; scissorcut in a spirit of precision; painted with coffee to shade and texture with dappled transluscence, and with watercolor for detail, bringing my subject to life - a metamorphosis. The more you look at these original scissorcuttings, the more you see. Enjoy the detail, or get lost in the pattern, like with an ancient mandala, inducing peace and tranquility.
